Meditation practice is a wonderful way for yoga practitioners to enhance their practice. While yoga strongly emphasises working with the body, meditation works directly with the mind. Mindfulness and awareness practice helps us to overcome problems with thoughts and emotions, and sets the stage for liberation from suffering and confusion. If you can practice meditation and yoga together, you are very fortunate.
Brian Hilliard presents the practice of shamatha, dwelling in peace, through lively and dynamic guided meditation and mini talks.
Each class will feature a special topic, and will present the basic instructions on meditation technique. The session is interactive with plenty of room for questions and answers. For beginners and experienced practitioners.
Some of the special topics include:
– Energising your life through mindfulness & awareness
– Meditation on the 5 elements
– How to work with strong emotions
– The secret of yoga and meditation
– Meditation on loving kindness and compassion
– The meditation that completely transforms your life
