Yin yoga postures are designed to balance, calm, recharge and repair. Supported by props including bolsters, blankets and straps these poses allow your entire body to stretch gently and release deep-held physical and mental blockages.
Yin yoga perfectly complements more rigorous yoga styles and is enhanced by mindfulness and deep breathing. It’s a must for everyone. Shannon van Staden’s approach to yin yoga comes with the profound wisdom of meditation practice.
Meditation practice is the foundation for ultimate well-being. You will discover how to connect directly to your energy source by means of the practice of shamatha, or dwelling in peace. This is training for how to skillfully ride all circumstances of daily life. It’s a fearless and at the same time gentle approach ably taught by Brian Hilliard, a meditation practitioner for over 35 years. The workshop is highly inspiring and provides plenty of direction for meditation and yoga in daily life.
