After our morning exercise you’ll enjoy a juice and snack. Brunches and dinners are traditional North African dishes with the best of Moroccan cuisine. They're lovingly prepared with vegetables and fruits harvested from the gardens. Dine under olive trees on Berber carpets and cushions. You will rediscover balance and happiness through a well-nourished self with greater life-force energy.

Your day closes with a meditation session guided by teacher Brian Hilliard. The practice space is a panoramic glass shala with a traditional Berber tent roof, thick carpets and Atlas views. There you will learn the techniques and practice of sitting and walking meditation. Talks, discussions and some silence for inner reflection make the experience complete.

Gina lives and teaches Yoga in the UK and Europe and practising for over 20 years. She qualified with distinction as a teacher in 2008 and is a member of the Independent Yoga Network in the UK. Her teaching style is grounded in Hatha & Yin Yoga and her flavour focuses on listening to the body and exploring how to find the Yoga practise that is perfect for each person. Described by the prestigious Queen of Retreats for 2016 as the non 'woo woo' girl next door, Gina's style is grounded, clear and very informative. Gina has a solid foundation of Yoga experience along with inspiring teaching that uplifts and nurtures.
For runners and walkers (optional). Running with meditation is an introduction to meditation in movement. Reach the zone easily with practical instructions for combining mindfulness and movement. See our post: Running with Meditation and a great article by one of our participants.
Spend the rest of your day lazing Moroccan country style — choose a terrace or daybed under the ancient olive trees, or cool off in one of the tranquil swimming pools. You’ll find your ideal spots to relax, hide away or peacefully snooze. You can play a game of pétanque with a fellow retreatant. The Kasbah is also a perfect starting point for walks in the countryside or to the nearby Berber village. Enjoy a paddle around beautiful lake Lalla Takerkoust. Feel the freedom of the wide open spaces below the Atlas mountains.
The Kasbah hosts an exquisite spa with Moroccan hammam for a nice steam, scrub or massage with essential oils and aromatic plants. Finish by relaxing on a lounger with a mint tea at the fire place or on the sunny terrace.
7:00 Awaken to the gorgeous Atlas sunrise with optional running or walking with Brian.
8:00 Start the day with a fresh juice and snack.
9:00 Meet up at the shala for yoga practice. We'll enjoy a rich combination of hatha and yin practices with our expert yoga teacher.
11:00 Fresh and delicious brunch with our retreat companions under the olive trees on Berber rugs and cushions.
12:00 The afternoons are at your leisure. Rest, read, write or nap on a terrace or at one of the pools. Or maybe you'd like to play pétanque, take a walk, or treat your self to a scrub or massage at the spa?
16:00 Tea and snack.
17:00 Meditation. To gently close our day, you will be guided through the form and practice of meditation with talks, discussions and periods of silence for inner reflection. Suitable for beginners or experienced meditators.
19:00 Delicious dinner in the Kasbah with cosy fireplaces, candles and lanterns. Some evenings we will have presentations and special events to deepen our understanding and practices.
