A retreat to let go, relax, strengthen and heal
Mindfulness Journeys is pleased to invite you to enjoy five days of countryside retreat Each day will offer two sessions of meditation practice with Lama Brian, and a morning flow and evening yin yoga with Shannon. The days will end with an alchemy crystal sound bath, a chorus of healing soundscapes. You will get just the right balance of personal practice, stillness and movement, sophisticated and practical teachings, and time to relax alone or with other practitioners.
The retreat will take place at the beautiful “Het Verblijf" near Gaasbeek in the rolling countryside of Pajottenland, very close to Brussels. It is a peaceful land with beautiful walks through woods and fields. In addition to exquisite nature outside, the retreat centre offers a beautiful practice space inside. The old farmhouse has a lovely courtyard with a contemplative pond. A 30 minute walk brings you to a beautiful chateau for group practice sessions in exquisite gardens.
The accommodation is in simple, comfortable sharing rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. There are single rooms at an additional charge.
As with all our retreats, we work closely with our private cook to provide really tasty vegetarian meals. Inge will help get your day going with a healthy snack, tea and coffee. After morning meditation and morning flow we enjoy a generous vegetarian brunch. After evening meditation, yin yoga and sound healing, we will enjoy a delicious 3 course vegetarian dinner. There is no alcohol on retreat.
The retreat starts on Wednesday 25 August at 17.00, and ends on Sunday 29 August at 15.00.

The retreat centre is very close to Brussels - just a metro 5 ride to Erasme, and a 10 minute drive from the station. We can arrange pick ups to the centre from the Erasme metro stop. If you have a car please let us know and we could put you in touch with one another closer to the time to self organise ride sharing.

Lama Brian is our co-founder and meditation teacher, and has practiced, studied and taught meditation his entire life. He is the real deal - profound, genuine, kind and funny. Brian shares life teachings with you, techniques of meditation and gives you guidance according to your experience and understanding. He brings authenticity and humour to the practice. You may find him under a tree singing mantras with his accordion or ukelele.
Shannon is our co-founder, yoga teacher and healer. She takes you on your personal journey of healing and connecting with your body and mind with her calm and caring style. Shannon can often be found scouring the earth for beautiful places like our mindfulness retreat Morocco, or tucking you in for savasana. Her dedication to your well-being is a unique and special gift you can give to yourself.
