A mindfulness retreat Morocco is a great way to start the new year. The Sunshine and Clarity retreat day begins with morning yoga and meditation. In the afternoons bask on your lounger at the pool for blue skies, warm sun and swimming. Take a walk in nature through the gardens or read a book on one of the terraces of your choice. Relax into yin yoga and sound healing by the warm crackling fire before a nourishing Moroccan winter dinner. Sleep deeply and repeat. Return home with the warm sun in your heart and a clear vision in your mind for the wonderful year ahead.

Enjoy vast views of the snowy Atlas Mountains and acres of beautiful country gardens. Meditate and practice yoga in our panoramic glass tented space, or at the fireside inside the Kasbah. Lounge at one of two pools, one heated and the other cold and refreshing. Enjoy a steamy hammam scrub in the spa. It's sensory delight and ultra relaxing, the perfect place for yoga in Morocco.

Your ensuite room is nestled amongst beautiful rose and fruit gardens. Most rooms enjoy views of the deep blue sky and the Atlas mountains. Snuggle into high thread Egyptian cotton sheets. Luxury toiletries and fluffy bath towels await you with stylish simplicity. Enjoy sunny terraces with comfortable loungers set amongst soft grasses, lavender and ancient gurgling irrigation systems.

The mindfulness retreat Morocco features an amazing Moroccan breakfast with freshly baked breads, crepes and eggs tajine. Lunches and dinners are traditional North African dishes with the best of Moroccan cuisine. They're lovingly prepared with vegetables and fruits harvested from the gardens. We will accommodate all your dietary needs. Dine under olive trees on Berber carpets and cushions, under a Berber tent, or inside one of the Kasbah’s dining areas. You will rediscover balance and happiness through a well-nourished self with greater life-force energy.

Learn the techniques and practice of sitting and walking meditation with Brian. Practice yin and hatha yoga with Shannon. Yoga in Morocco is enhanced through the extraordinary beautiful sounds of crystal bowls for deep healing. There’s also optional running early morning. All of these practices are united through our vision of ultimate well being through gentle self-discipline and careful guidance.

nap, explore or spa

Between sessions of yoga in Morocco, spend the day lazing country style — choose a terrace or daybed under the ancient olive trees, or cool off in one of the tranquil swimming pools (one heated). You’ll find your ideal spots to relax, hide away or peacefully snooze. The Kasbah is also a perfect starting point for walks in the countryside or to the nearby Berber village. Feel the freedom of the wide open spaces below the Atlas mountains.

Brian Hilliard

Lama Brian is our co-founder and meditation teacher, and has practiced, studied and taught meditation his entire life. He is the real deal - profound, genuine, kind and funny. Brian shares life teachings with you, techniques of meditation and gives you guidance according to your experience and understanding. He brings authenticity and humour to the practice. You may find him under a tree singing mantras with his accordion or ukelele.

Shannon van Staden

Shannon is our co-founder, yoga teacher and healer. She takes you on your personal journey of healing and connecting with your body and mind with her calm and caring style. Shannon can often be found scouring the earth for beautiful places like our mindfulness retreat Morocco, or tucking you in for savasana. Her dedication to your well-being is a unique and special gift you can give to yourself.
